My last few posts have been random, mostly because my mind is functioning like that this week (or maybe it always does, LOL). So bear with me while I post about the mundane day to day stuff for a while. Some day I will post something funny or interesting or meaningful...or at least I'll try :)
Well, today we are getting the annual March snowstorm. It happens every year about this time, yet every year it seems that EVERYONE thinks it just crazy to get snow in March. But this is Ohio, remember? They are calling for anywhere from 6-12" by tomorrow morning. I am allowing myself to enjoy it, but this is the last time!! :)
Come on Spring, we are ready to get outside and play!

Today is my best friend's "little" girls 11th birthday. She was the first of us to have children, and I was still in college. They would come visit on the weekends, and I have always held a special place in my heart for her. I can not believe 11 years have passed us by already. She is so grown up these days, it scares me to see how quickly it happens.

I have something fun happening, something exciting :)
I have joined on as a blogger at Midwest Parents, so I'll let you know when I have my first post so you can come on over and check it out. It will be my first time posting with a group, and I am looking forward to getting to know the other bloggers there.

Yesterday, the little kids & I decided to make peanut butter cookies. Talk about hilarious, trying to get a 16 mth old to keep her hands out of the mix...not happening. So, I gave that up & just decided that since they were just for our family, I would let her go :)
Then Zander wanted to crack the eggs. So, I let him crack one, then as I was trying to help him break it open over the bowl, he gave it a good squeeze and it EXPLODED (literally) all over him. I was dying laughing. I had to fish out a piece of eggshell and strip him down, but otherwise, everythings was okay. He was also quite proud when I let him use the fork and do the criss-crosses all by himself!
I promise that when we make cookies there are not always toddler hands and exploding eggs, no worries. But, yesterday was just one of those days. And the cookies are WONDERFUL!
The bad part about that is that I am eating them, LOL! I have been VERY good about skipping fast food lunches, or getting Tim Horton's (which could be compared to Dunkin Doughnuts) Coke or cappuchino or Tim Bits (aka doughnut holes) on my trips to and from schools. I have even been pretty good about skipping pop all together. I just figure that I am defeating the purpose of working out if I do not change my diet as well. Then, along came the cookies *sigh*
So sorry about all the snow. Ick.
Too funny about the eggs and cookies - they sound yummy. How did Ava handle the peanuts? We haven't tried peanuts with Nemo yet. I have a history of food allergies, so we wait a good long time with our kids. Though that's all Trout lives on now, it seems.

Gah! More snow. Although they like to remind us here in MN that March is actually the snowiest month. It's still yucky.
Your kids bake like mine...messy!

She is a cutie!! Very hard not to eat the goodies... but they are so fun to make.
