I am SOOO thankful for weekends & sleeping in :) Today we all slept until after 9:00!
Last night our High School team played (AND WON!!!) for the State Title! YAY Pi q ua Indians :) It was televised on a Ohio channel, and was so fun to watch our team play live on tv. And of course even better to win the Title in our division. It brought back alot of memories for me of when I cheered one year during State finals...it was unforgettable! The energy at the school, then of course, at the game is UNBELIEVABLE. Awesome memories to say the least!!
Anyway, that kept eveyone up late (well, that and the pop they had with the pizza for dinner) and we all slept in today. I actually fell asleep right after I fed Ava around 10:00, so Daddy was in charge and I actually got extra sleep. I am starting to think I need to stop complaining about lack of sleep with all of the help he is giving lately, LOL. Of course, I am still getting up NUMEROUS times at night though, so it is still much needed sleep. The cold I had is starting to go away, but I am still run-down and seem to get VERY sleepy around 4PM everyday. I lay on the couch most afternoons and watch Oprah to relax, because napping with four kids is usually out of the question!!
Speaking of the couch, I feel like I live there these days. Remeber when I said that I feel so "Martha Stewart" like after having a baby??? Well, that is looooong gone since Ava has become attched to me (literally). I have a sink full of dishes, Kaden was complaining about me not having white clothes clean yesterday, we are out of milk, and there is dried up playdough on/under my kitchen table..and here I sit! She is napping now, and I grabbed a quick shower, threw a load of towels in (do not tell Kaden, as I promised the next load would be whites!!!) and decided to come ck my e-mail, etc.
I am feeling a little like doing something Christmas-y today, but it will have to be something we either have all the ingredients for (if we bake) or supplies (if we craft) because it is COOOOOLD outside & I am just not motivated enought to take all FOUR of my kiddos out in this weather! Heck, I am not even ready to take them all out somewhere alone anyway...who am I kidding? I tried to go out with just Zander & Ava, and the store I went to had only smaller size carts, so the carseat had to sit in the front part and Zander was too afraid to sit in the back (YAY for him feeling unsafe there though) so he was allowed to walk. A 5 minute trip took a good half hour, BUT, I was the good Mommy and enjoyed it because he was looking at all of the Christmas things really for the first time (he was too young last year to really care). He kept yelling "Mommy, look! Santa!" Mommy, look! Snowmans!" Then I really was cracking up when he picked up the stockings and told me to look at the "big, pretty SOCKS" ... he is just the cutest thing :)
Okay, off to Familyfun's Christmas area to see what fun stuff we will be doing today!
**edited to add** I think we are making these Pinwheel cookies, as I've never tried them & they look YUMMMMMY! http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefinder/display?id=50315
Enjoy your weekend too!
Emotional?! Heck, you're hormonal! And so am I every time I read your blog -- tears tears and tears! Happy ones, though. Happy you're doing well, and happy to know there's another CrAzY mom going through the same stuff as me! LOL
By the way, we made choc. chip cookies today -- no effort as it's simply dumping ingredients into the mixing bowl -- you're wayyyy too ambitious! hee hee
