My best friend Holly and I hosted it tonight at her house, & we had lots of FUN, great food...and I am ALMOST convinced that I should join as a consultant.  I LOVE the products (and of course you can earn FREE stuff) and I could use the extra time away & the extra $$ too!  So, I have been considering the posssiblity.

I am in need of some change, I can see that.  There are opportunities all around me too, I just have to decide what is right for me & my family.  I know that the kids would benefit from having Daddy alone with them a few nights a month.  I also know that I LOVE to shop, so the $$ would be wonderful for me & my scrapping, LOL!!!

Have you tried it before??  Know someone that has??  Did they love it/hate it?  Please let me know :)

OH... and do you want to order from me on-line to get me started?  *winks*

I think I am finished...LOL

 

I just added a few more pieces of paper here & there and took away a ribbon or two!  The pics will still be replaced with better quality (I printed these at home) but other than that I am FINISHED! 

I think it is pretty busy, but I like that about it.  I also love how there is only blues & greens in the pics, and then different shades of them all over the pages....just *FEELS* beachy to me :)

creativity

I have been thinking of joining in one of the many on-line challenges throughout the week to  help boost my creativity (studio friday, self portrait tuesday, art journals, etc).   I have always enjoyed artsy things, and would LOVE to be considered  an artist (of some sort)  :)  SO, I thought maybe I should jump right in & if I start seeing myself as an artist....!?!?

All of this brings me to this pic I snapped tonight.  I am just so happy when I see Zander being creative.  He asks for paper & pen several times throughout the day, and he really enjoys just laying there coloring away.   He also loves to show me the pictures he makes and wait for praise just as Kaden & Ellie do...too CUTE!

I plan to start a daily/weekly schedule this week to better organize my time & my thoughts, so I hope to see (& be able to share) some positive, CREATIVE changes in the next week or so :)

{a BUSY & FUN weekend}

I am happy to be busy with FUN stuff this weekend :)  I needed this VERY much!

Today I spent the day shopping with my best friend Holly.  What an AWESOME day it was, just hanging out with her is FUN, she makes me laugh all the time.  We stopped for lunch & Margarita's at Don Pablo's....WONDERFUL !

Tonight we are watching Madagascar & tomorrow we will be going to COSI...I am like a little kid, just SO excited.  It seems like it has been a long time since we had a PLAY day with the kids somewhere fun. 

I bet most of our time will be spent  in Kid's Space (where we are the in these pics) or in Ocean which tend to be our FAVES :)

I got a call from my friend Holly yesterday during Oprah  (I was not watching it this time, LOL) and started asking me questions about "this guy & this book, and Oprah is mad, and I KNEW you would know what is going on, because you know about books & stuff" 

So, I am LMAO at her thinking I am a KNOW IT ALL :) but I turn it on & am shocked to see James Frey sitting there.  Last time I saw him on the show they were talking about how wonderful this book was & how it was saving MANY people from addiction.  I ran out to get the book, even though I knew it had already been a book club choice long before.  I do not usually buy the books that she talks about, but this one sounded amazing...so I did.  And I just finally started reading the book a week or two ago, so I am not very far into it yet.

So, today I am reading this because I only caught about half the show & still am not sure what is true...and what is not. 

Any insights????

A day late & a dollar short

Just hearing that makes me smile because my Mom used to always say that (probably still does, I just have not heard her say it in a while)!!  That explains my night tonight :)  This is ridiculous, really!  Okay,  I was reading my e-mail & saw one from CK about Becky Higgins sketch submissions.  Now, I have never submitted my work, and escp never thought to submit PAPER layouts...but this TOP sketch just screamed at me (LOL) and I decided to try!

YES, you heard right....not only was I going to PAPER scrap using a sketch, I was doing it with the thought of SUBMITTING it to CK.  Do you think I am CRAZY yet (some of you may already know I am, LOL)!  So, I am inspired & working my behind off tonight when I decide to take a break.  I go back to start reading my e-mails again, when I see the CK e-mail, and notice the words:  JANUARY 26th DEADLINE

Umm....this is at 12:40ish AM on JANUARY 27th, and I am nowhere near finished anyway (LOL) so I decide it is time for bed instead.  But before I do, I have to share my STUPID story with you out there in blogging world just for grins :)  Just in case you were wondering what I did have finished so far, I took a (bad) pic to show you!  Most of it is not attached yet, just in case I change my mind.  When I do finish it, I will scan in a better view too.  The pictures look WAY too light in these, but you get the idea!  I'd love to know what you think.  Even though I am not submitting this anywhere, I am still getting the hang of scrapping paper layouts & would love some CC if you would :)  THANKS!!

Since I tried the effer dare a week or so ago, I have been excitedly waiting for the next one.   And it never came :(  there has not been a new dare put up since Jan 12th!   I keep telling myself to just go back to the olds ones that I have never done yet, but I was just excited to see the new ones posted, LOL!

I have a TON of things to do tonight anway (scrapping not being one of them), but wanted to check in & see if anyone had the inside scoop on the effers!?!?

AND.....I wanted to share that my friend Tami is a cool kid now, LMAO :)
